We have been learning about artists this term. we are also learning about France. so we decided to do both! we have been painting famous landscapes around France. also, we have looked at some of the famous impressionist artists in France! Here is a painting done by Jack in our school. He chose to paint in the style of Henry Matisse.

Reading
we have been reading a great book this term!
Year 5,6 have been reading a book called 'A tale of two cities'
written by the famous author Charles Dickens. We are reading a shortened version of this story by 'Real Read' as it would take a long time to read the original!
its a great book and I recommend it to anyone who loves adventures!
P.E
In P.E we have been doing Morris dancing! (a traditional dance performed by England). We have been having so much fun. Morris dancing is a great way to learn different style dancing. it involves: sticks, bells and mollies.

In maths we have been doing decimals, fractions and percentages. I love maths because it's so fun. We have been given tricky problems to solve in our math books. Do you think you are a math superstar? Then try some of these questions.
Osmington Bay is a school trip that all year 6 pupils attend to. There are lots of fun activities to do and many good memories to be made. The year 6s stay at Osmington for 1 week and share a dormitory with 3 other friends of their choice!

zip wire is when you shuffle to the end of a platform up high in the sky and you get harnessed in. Next you jump of and experience the wind blowing in your hair as you zoom past Osmington Bay!

Climbing wall is where you get harnessed in and you climb up a wall. This was so fun because you get to race your friends up the wall!
